AMiGOS
AMiGOS is an acronym for the Spanish phrase "Helping my people remain proud and healthy"
The main objective of AMiGOS is to recruit and to coordinate the training of volunteers to educate the Spanish-speaking community about AIDS prevention, testing and care. It also mobilizes Spanish-speaking volunteers to provide support and services for HIV affected people and families. The volunteers participate in different ways, such as support visits, translations, and cooking. To volunteer, click link to volunteer page.
AMiGOS training is held four times each year. To join a training, contact Pedro Castillo by phone at (336) 725-8682 or email at PCastillo@aidscareservice.org.
