'Designs for Living' is the theme for Dining With Friends 2010 with designer Jack Mackenroth joining our
Dessert Finale on February 27th.
Follow the links above to learn how easy it is for you to host a Dining With Friends party or further your dreams of becoming a Fashion Designer and participate in our Design Competition!
Anyone interested in hosting a party is encouraged to attend the kick-off party at Wine Merchants Gourmet from 5:30 to 8pm on January 29th. Information for hosts and invitations for mail or electronic media will be distributed and representatives will be available to discuss how to make your event a success. A portion of the proceeds from the evenings wine tasting will go to ACS.
Have your party prior to the finale so any guest making a donation of $25 or more can receive a ticket to the Millennium Center Dining With Friends Dessert Finale on February 27th. Celebrity designer and HIV advocate Jack Mackenroth of Project Runway will be joining us and judging the best 15 finalists on the runway of the design competition.
If you are unable to attend the Kick-off Party, you are still welcome to contact ACS after Jan. 29th to pick up party information and supplies.
How You Can Host a Dining With Friends Party!
- Attend the Kick-off Party on Jan 29th at Wine Merchants Gourmet to pick up a host packet with supplies, information and ideas or contact ACS to register after that date.
- Decide if you want to host a party alone or recruit friends as co-hosts. Donations to ACS are tax-deductable and most expenses of hosting a fund raising event are too.
- Choose a style for your party and decide if you want a theme. Your party can be whatever you want: formal, informal, just desserts, potluck, at work, after church, with entertainment, with costumes, certain food colors or groups, just a few friends or an open community event. The possibilities are endless and ACS is here to help you with ideas.
- Choose a party date before the Dessert Finale on Feb 27th and invite your friends to your party. Hosts can either mail invitations supplied by ACS or use available electronic media to invite guests.
- Prepare for the day of your party and have a great time. Collect monetary donations from guests for AIDS Care Service using the DWF envelopes supplied. For each guest meeting the minimum donation requirement of $25, ACS will mail them a ticket to attend the Millennium Center Dining With Friends Dessert Finale.
- Finally, complete the host form early totaling your donations and contact ACS to pick it up so we can mail the tickets to your guests for the Millennium Center Dessert Finale. Enjoy!
